Treat Yourself Day Spa is implementing some changes at the spa that we would like to share with you. Over the last 14 years while we’ve been in network with major health insurances, there has been little to no increase in their payouts to massage providers, with the average payout being around $60 (that includes copays received by clients). So, as we watch inflation and cost of living steadily increase, (especially here in the PNW), the compensation of insurance is just not meeting the needs and the cost to run our business.
After consulting several surrounding massage businesses, we’ve seen that many are taking a new route to help meet the needs of their business while maintaining the needs of their clientele, and we’ve decided to follow the same… starting in October we will no longer accept the following health insurance companies.
We will also have our ever-popular discounted monthly memberships as an option – $75 a month for a 60-minute massage (for those who don’t have insurance or if you’d prefer to leave insurance out of it).
In addition to these changes we will also be tweaking our cancellation policy. Same-day no-shows and cancellations made with less than 24-hour notice will be charged the full price of the appointment ($85). In addition, if a client is late, full payment is still required regardless of how much hands-on time was received.
