Covid-19 Policy on Facials and Skin Care Services

Since May of this year, Treat Yourself Day Spa has reopened its doors to serve you and provide the best possible treatment. Under the circumstances, we have been grateful for the ongoing support, and we’ve been pleased at the adherence to the Covid-19 policies so that we can continue to operate.

As we remain in Phase 2, as an essential service, our office is open to serve you. We strongly believe that health and healing come from within and there’s a direct correlation between massage therapy, skin care and wellness. With the added stress in our lives right now, massage and other treatment can help your bodies better adapt to these stresses.

The good news is that there has been a slight loosening of restrictions as it pertains to certain personal services, including skin care. Based on the most recent proclamation from Governor Inslee, we are permitted to continue providing facials and other skin care services. Under the most recent order, our clients can continue to wear masks during the services. However, if a client elects not to use a mask during a facial or similar service, they may remove it. Regardless, all of our staff will continue to wear the appropriate face coverings at all times during all services. It is recommended that the client not speak while the face covering is removed, and that the time the covering is removed be minimized.

The benefits of facials and skin care services are numerous. Taking care of our skin now can help prevent future issues as we get older. A cleansing facial will help your skin get rid of oil buildup, toxins and dirt from your everyday environment, thoroughly removing all the bacteria that could cause skin issues.

Tara, our Master Aesthetician, has over 20 years of experience serving clients up and down the Pacific Northwest, and would love to see you! You can book online to schedule you next appointment!

Given the unpredictable nature of the virus, the protocols mandated by local and state officials are updated fairly frequently. We continually monitor the Department of Health website so that we have the most updated information possible.

Of course, your health and well-being are our primary concern. We are taking all necessary safety precautions to ensure your visit is as safe as possible. That includes the removal of any toys and magazines for general use, not allowing multiple clients in our waiting area, wiping down massage tables between EVERY patient, disinfecting door handles, etc.

We also have installed a thermometer at the bottom of the hallway where you can take your temperature prior to entry, and you may schedule future appointments online or by calling us.

If you have any concerns, coughs, fevers, rashes etc., please call us to reschedule your appointment to a later date. We respect all of those that are following social distancing and flattening the curve guidelines, and understand canceling your appointments. We will connect with you after this unique health crisis.

Please stay healthy!

Thank you for your patience, love and support during this trying time.

-Your TYDS Family
